Is it a coincidence that in the “dead” of winter, when the nights are their longest, darkest, coldest and most discouraging; that human beings celebrate the various religious and secular traditions intended to foster HOPE?
Huddled around fires, perhaps aware of dwindling rations, waiting for the spring to come again, it would seem so natural to develop stories and traditions that would close out the old, like winter itself, and turn our imaginations to a better future.
HOPE is the BELIEF that SOMETHING BETTER IS POSSIBLE, even if we have not presented itself yet, and that WE CAN DO SOMETHING TO MAKE CHANGES FOR THE BETTER. It keeps us open to possibilities and moving forward.
HOPE encourages us to remember that if we just hang on-spring will come again.
And HOPE IS A CRITICAL EMOTIONAL RESOURCE STATE, essential to our survival and growth, as individuals and as a society.
We will discuss HOPE during our gift to you this month-our FREE DECEMBER MEET UP- “Manifesting and Hypnosis”. All you “Mind Artists” are invited to come celebrate with us! There will be our Bi-monthly FREE “INTRODUCTION to HYPNOSIS” in December. Mark your calendars for the January presentation on “Self-Hypnosis for Stress Management and Personal Change: An Introduction” at the Safety Harbor Public Library. Also in January we are offering our “Tranceworks” 6 session class-seats are limited. By the way, you can still get our $50.00 Stress Management Sessions and Gift Certificates throughout the holidays. Personally we can’t think of too many things that would be more unique or life changing!.
May the Season of Hope fortify you; wishing peace to your, your family and our entire world.
Tamera
